Government Inter College Naugaonkhyal, Pauri Garhwal, is located on the Pauri–Chaundkot motor road, about 56 kilometers from the district headquarters, Pauri, in the Ekeshwar development block. The school serves students from 12 Gram Panchayats who are enrolled and studying here.
The school was established in 1947 as a Junior High School and was the only school of its kind in the Chaundkot region at that time. In 1960, it was upgraded to a High School. In 1964, with the introduction of Arts subjects, it was upgraded to the Intermediate level and named Chaundkot Inter College. On 1 December 1975, the school was nationalized and renamed Government Inter College, Naugaonkhyal.
